I do think that most people are only focused on how they can get love from others but have no intention of ever learning how to love another.

They are stuck in the infantile, oral stage of seeing other people and the world around them as consumptive objects and all they want to do is sucksucksuck.

They will never experience True Love because they’ve made no room for it. They refuse to be humble, to empty themselves out, to be of service.

Love is in all but the only way to “get” it is by giving it, by surrendering your ego to the Other and bending over, washing their feet with your hair.

For Love to take root, there must be a clearing.
For Love to blossom, a ritual of atonement.
For Love to thrive, the impulse to pluck must be destroyed.

When I say I love you, I mean I am willing to see into you, to gently lower us into that place where we become one.
