I have found peace and it’s because I’ve finally accepted the truth that a lot of people are just [redacted]. There’s nothing to be done about it because they just are. It doesn’t matter if they’ve gone to school, held down a job, been around the world, passed middle age, etc etc - a lot of people are just [redacted]. 

I would never say it like that in a public context because it’s too crass and I like to think I have some level of tact but it’s still the truth. I’m not trying to be condescending. It’s not even like that. At the end of the day we are all here to live a life and then go. But for most people, life is hard and we have all been conditioned from birth to be asleep at the wheel. It takes a lot of guts and gumption and good luck to wake up and I think we all have a subconscious understanding that once you do, there is no going back.

When you’re asleep, you have no responsibility.
When you’re awake, all you have is responsibility.

All I have is responsibility.
